Geranium essential oil is known by many aromatherapists to be the number one essential oil for balance. Balance on all levels, physical, mental, and emotional. It balances the hormonal system of the body, reputedly by acting on the adrenal cortex. It is often used for treating pms and menopause symptoms.
Geranium oil is also often used in skin care, as it balances the production of sebum, the skin's natural oil, and can be useful in treating either oily or dry skin. It also has wound-healing properties and is a stimulant to the lymphatic system. Geranium also regulates the nervous system and is often used in treating conditions like depression, nervous tension, stress, headaches, and anxiety.
Blends well with Basil, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lime, Orange, and Rosemary.
